Blogging For Charity
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while and finally just hunkered down to do it. I’ve been thinking for a while that we as bloggers have such a far reaching voice and reach in our communities and yet sometimes we don’t get to share what is important to us with the rest of the world. I’ve seen a TON of blogs over the past few months and many of them are a work in progress and really, I think all blogs are. As we grow we want our blog’s to grow and change with us.
Now basically we have pages and posts and many of us who do online marketing or network marketing tend to have training, social media, resources that you can share with others etc etc etc. One thing that has been on my mind has really been charity. I’ve come across one or two people who have something like this on their blogs and kudos to them. Then I thought a little bit more and I just can’t seem to think why it is that everyone doesn’t have a page like that on their blog.
I’ve been thinking about it for months, probably ever since I actually launched my blog. (I’ve just been a lazy @$$ about getting around to doing it even though it took all of 5 minutes). You see we all have passions and causes that are a part of us and that impact our lives in so many ways and by all means we should share what they are. Now I’m certainly not asking anyone to come here and donate, (though if you are so inclined most certainly do so) all I’m asking is to get the word out there. I mean even if you look at it from selfish reasons all you’re doing is still building your brand. Hey maybe some people think that it will take away from their online presence, but I say “whatever”.
I’ve chosen my charities based on the ones that resonate with me. I have a few for cancer, mainly because I know way too many people who have been afflicted with this disease, from family to friends to friends of friends. Thankfully I do know a lot of success stories but for each one I have a sad story of loss that leaves an emptiness in my soul missing the great people who have succumbed to the disease. We NEED to fight this right now!!!
So what’s the point of all of this now you say? Well I’m actually starting a movement here if you haven’t realized. We all add resources and affiliate links and back links and this that and the other to monetize and that is totally alright. I just say lets also do a little for a cause. You may have something that others don’t know about and that they are really looking for. All I really suggest is to put reputable causes on your blog and send people directly to those sites. So NO you can not donate on my page but feel free to go to the charity sites and give back if you so desire.
Let me know what you think of the idea and definitely give some feedback below. If you think it’s a great idea take some action and add a page to your blog. Be sure to come back to my Promote Yourself page and leave your blog link and charity page link so that everyone can take a look at what causes YOU are passionate about.
So that said go check out my charity page and let me know what you think.

This is a great thing to do Brian. You are absolutely correct about the fact that we have a far reach, so why not do something with it that can help change the world!
I am in the process of modifying some stuff on my blog and I will definitely be adding this to it. Thank you for such a great idea!

Hey Brian,
I have a new page on my blog that I’ll be rolling out soon that I think that you’ll dig. I’ll share more as I get closer to launching it… It’s all about charities!
Great timing!

Brian, what a great idea!!! I’m glad you wrote this, so now we all can jump on board and start making a positive difference!
Brian, this is a really great idea! This is definitely getting added to my blogging “to do” list!
Perfect timing and content as usual Brian! Thanks for getting off your @$$ to write this – LOL! Thanks again for inspiring all of us to give back – the reason for being entrepreneurs in the first place for most of us!
This is great Brian and so timely. I woke up today thinki.g about this…realizing that I am overdue in giving my passion. for “making a difference” in the world a bigger voice on my blog. Thanks for leading the way

Brian,
This is a great idea. I too have a couple of charities that I’d love to support. if we can start a movement with the tribes and syndication then we can start a movement to add a charity tab as well.
I also think we should like to each others charity tabs so we can really start to share the knowledge and expose the possibilities.

Brian, What a fabulous idea you have here. We really do need to give back to the universe and what a great way to do it. I will put this to good use.

Hey Brian,
This is great that you put this out there. So many of us are so caught up in network/internet marketing and building our business that we really forget why we are here and that is to help people. Donating to causes is much apart of this as well. Great reality check Brian!
